    The mission of the Academic Personnel Office (APO) is to support the success of UC Merced by facilitating the recruitment, appointment, advancement, and retention of the most qualified and diverse faculty, instructors and research personnel. APO coordinates and facilitates the approval process for academic related activity including requests for leaves and sabbaticals, family accommodations, and exceptions to policy.

    Office of Student Life With a focus on social justice, personal and community development, cultural awareness, and advocacy, Intercultural Programs seeks to cultivate and develop an inclusive environment where students are aware of local, national, and global issues and who are equipped and prepared to thrive in diverse global society.

    Office of Student Life The vision of Women's Programs in the Office of Student Life at the University of California, Merced is to empower, educate, and celebrate the lives of women. Women's Programs in the Office of Student Life exists to provide opportunities for the UC Merced community to learn, grow, and reinforce the leadership and well-being of women. Women's Programs will establish a strong network of support and inviting space for all.
  • Violence Prevention Program
    The Violence Prevention Program (VPP) provides culturally sensitive response to and education about sexual violence, domestic/dating violence and stalking. The VPP serves all individuals affiliated with UC Merced including students, staff and faculty members.
