In the 2010 UC Report of the Systemwide Advisory Committee on the Status of Women (pdf), the Committee brought forward a number of recommended changes with the intent of continuing to afford women equal and fair access to campus programs, activities and opportunities. The following recommendations have been accomplished or are in progress.


In Progress

  • Adequately fund and administer lactation rooms
  • Expand diversity training for search committees and/or hiring managers - develop a systemwide model
  • Develop staff for future leadership roles—share best practices
  • Create a system wide assessment of all development programs
  • Promote mentoring programs: identify female role models; establish networking structure; establish a central funding model.
  • Participated in a climate survey include questions related to gender
  • Create a committee to mine existing data about diversity
